Each grade provides support to the community serving through various Corporal Works of Mercy. School-wide projects occur during Advent and Lent both locally and internationally. Faculty and Staff combine efforts to assist charities through time, talent, and treasure.
Some of the organizations our students assist are:
Catholic Charities
Harvesters
Christmas Red Bag Program
Nursing and Assisted Living Homes
Ronald McDonald House
Grade-Level Service Hour Goals
We have also set age-appropriate service hour goals for students to achieve even if they are not participating in the President's Challenge. Each student who achieves their goal will receive special recognition at the end of the year. The service goals for each grade are as follows:
Kindergarten/1st grade: 5 hours
2nd grade: 10 hours
3rd/4th grade: 15 hours
5th/6th grade: 25 hours
7th/8th grade: 35 hours
The President's Challenge
Nativity Parish School has once again registered to participate in the President's Student Service Challenge. The President's Challenge is an opportunity for school and organizations to recognize young people for their outstanding service to the community. Any student who performs 50 or more hours of service will be recognized for their efforts with a pin bearing the Presidential Seal and a letter of recognition from the President.
